Linking to External Resources

There are two means to add links to a forum post:

  • Include the full address of the site to link to in the message. To provide a simple link to a site, include the full address of the site to link to in the message, either at the beginning of a line or after a space. The address will appear as a link. For example, http://www.ucsrt.org will appear as http://www.ucsrt.org. Please ensure that you include the leadding http:// before the address!
  • Use brackets ([ and ]) to surround the full address of the site to link to and custom link text. Instead of showing the address of the site, you may instead provide custom link text by enclosing the full address of the site (including the leading http://) in brackets followed by a space and then the desired link text. For example, [http://www.ucsrt.org/users/ucsrt Praveen Basaviah] will appear as Praveen Basaviah.
