UCSRT's Dialogues

About the Dialogues discussion forums.
Help index

The Dialogues discussion forums provide a set of topic-oriented fourms for discussing topics related to human sexuality, sexuality research and training, the UCSRT, and the Dialogues software itself. The forums and their topics are selected by the UCSRT's Dialogues's site administrator, Praveen Basaviah. If you believe a forum should be added, you may send a message to Praveen.

Each forum consists of some number of threads that reflect a single conversation. A thread is initiated by a user selecting the "Add a new thread" option from within a forum. The first post in a thread, called the thread post, sets the more narrow topic (within the broader topic area of the forum) for the specific conversation and gets the conversation started. For this reason, thread posts tend to be a statement of opinion, a question, or a report on an event. Users, including the person who posted the thread, may respond to the thread post, and those responses may in turn be responded to. Most forums in Dialogues are open for anyone to post new threads and responses to existing threads.
